The Hang Seng Index opened 1% higher, climbing 179.85 to 17,610.01, as stocks gain for the second straight day in Hong Kong.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 2.4%. JD Health International Inc. had the largest increase, rising 6.1%.
In early trading, 67 of 82 shares rose, while 11 fell; 3 of 4 sectors were higher, led by commerce and industry stocks.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.5% higher, climbing 13.42 to 2,892.85, as stocks gain for the third straight day in Shanghai.
Kweichow Moutai Co. contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 1.2%. Shanghai New Centurion Network Information Technology Co. had the largest increase, rising 10.0%.
In early trading, 1,180 of 2,220 shares rose, while 848 fell; all sectors were higher, led by industrial stocks.
