The Hang Seng Index opened 1.2% lower, dropping 201.57 to 17,309.51, as stocks lose for the second straight day in Hong Kong.
JD.com Inc. contributed the most to the index decline and had the largest move, decreasing 11.8%.
In early trading, 73 of 82 shares fell, while 8 rose; all sectors were lower, led by commerce and industry stocks.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.3% lower, dropping 9.29 to 2,857.37, as stocks lose for the second straight day in Shanghai.
Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 1.7%. Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals Co. had the largest drop, falling 12.2%.
In early trading, 928 of 2,222 shares fell, while 1,083 rose; all sectors were lower, led by conglomerate stocks.
