Japanese equities were mixed as tech shares slumped after the yen edged higher and underwhelming earnings from Nvidia damped the outlook for the chip sector. The wholesale trade sector gained on rotational flows.
Topix Index was virtually unchanged at 2,693.02 as of 3pm market close in Tokyo.
Nikkei 225 was virtually unchanged at 38,362.53.
Out of 2,130 stocks in the index, 864 rose and 1,165 fell, while 101 were unchanged.
